What does it do?

ANPR camera enforcing Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ) or Clean Air Zones (CAZ). Reads number plates and checks whether the vehicle meets the emission standard for the zone. Vehicles that do not comply are automatically charged or fined.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition with real-time lookup against DVLA vehicle records to determine emission standard. Records entry into the zone. Issues penalty charge notices automatically for non-compliant vehicles that have not paid the daily charge. Operates 24/7.
