What does it do?

ANPR camera enforcing the London Congestion Charge zone. Reads number plates to identify vehicles entering the zone and automatically checks whether the daily charge has been paid.

Documented capabilities

Automatic Number Plate Recognition with real-time database lookup. Records vehicle entry into the charging zone with timestamp and location. Penalty charge notices issued automatically for non-payment. Data shared with police for law enforcement purposes under data sharing agreements.
